Canadian Expert to Speak at Zero Waste Forum & International Dialogue
Mar 28th, 2024Jamie Kaminski, president of HSR Zero Waste in Port Coquitlam, BC, will speak at the 2024 Zero Waste Forum & International Dialogue in San Francisco on April 5th.
Hosted by Race to Zero Waste (R20W), the event aims to promote collaboration, education, and engagement in zero waste initiatives, aligning with the International Day of Zero Waste on March 30th and Earth Day on April 22nd.
Kaminski is lead policy advisor for Zero Waste Canada and a board member of the Zero Waste International Alliance, representing the Canadian reference point for internationally accepted Zero Waste policies. He will share insights on implementing end-to-end business solutions using Zero Waste methods and effective waste management programs aimed at diverting recyclables from landfills.
A respected figure within the Zero Waste community with over 30 years of experience in the waste diversion industry, Kaminski's contributions have been integral to enhancing waste management practices in Canada and mitigating the global environmental impact of waste. He holds notable affiliations as a Zero Waste business associate (ZWA, TRUE Advisor) and has a wealth of experience in solid waste management policy implementation.
The upcoming Zero Waste Forum will bring together international experts associated with the Zero Waste International Alliance, alongside local zero waste businesses and organizations in the Bay Area, to facilitate discussions that advance an equitable and accessible circular economy. Kaminski will be joined by speakers from Turkey, China, Ukraine, Kenya, Brazil, Indonesia, Sweden, and a number of other countries.
